Our History

Built in the early 1900s the original home was named “Braeside” in 1916 by one of its first residents – John Davidson Snr. “Braeside”, is the Scottish word for hillside. The property remained in the Davidson family until 1999 with each new family generation adding their own personal touch and contribution to Braeside’s history.

Team Braeside

Owners: John & Judy

Owners, Judy Rogers and her son John have owned Braeside for five and a half years and live on site in the 120 year old original home.

Braeside is almost 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens stepping down from Gooding Drive to sweeping lawns and Gin House Creek.

The Chapel and purpose-built Marquee are on the upper level. Alternatively, you can choose to have your ceremony on the paved, hedged circle on the lower lawn beside the 100-year-old Camphor Laurel tree. Presenting a superb opportunity for those special photos.
In either case, pre reception drinks and canapés can be served from the Lawn Bar or at the Shed Bar, for your guests’ entertainment and enjoyment.

We look forward to being a part of your special occasion.
